Thermal Shock Testing

Our thermal shock testing quickly transfers your products or components between extreme temperatures to gauge durability and identify possible issues due to the differences in expansion and contraction rates of the different materials used in manufacturing.

We can conduct thermal shock tests in one of two ways. We can use two-zone temperature chambers and shuttle the unit under test between chambers. Transfer time takes less than 10 seconds. Or we can conduct thermal shock testing in a single environmental chamber that accommodates two programmed temperatures. The difference is the required rate at which the test article is transferred between temperatures.

DATASYST draws on decades of experience in thermal shock testing and standard environmental testing chambers to develop a test profile that meets the required exposure of your product or component test specification. We perform the testing to ensure your product will meet to thermal shock conditions present in its operational environment.

Capabilities & Equipment

We offer thermal shock test chambers that evaluate how components meet the temperature swings in their environment.

  • Two-zone chambers with temperature capabilities of -68°C to +200°C

Test Standards & Specifications

DATASYST tests to a variety of standards and specifications, including:

  • ISO
  • Military Standard (MIL-STD-202, 810, 883, 1344)
  • IEC (60068, 60529, 60601)
