UV / Weathering Testing
UV (Ultraviolet) Exposure Testing recreates real-world sunlight and weathering conditions in a controlled laboratory environment. By combining ultraviolet light, temperature, and moisture, DATASYST evaluates how materials, coatings, finishes, and products age over time when exposed to outdoor environments.
This testing helps identify potential issues such as color fading, gloss loss, chalking, cracking, embrittlement, loss of mechanical properties, and other forms of material degradation before they impact product performance in the field.
By accelerating weathering conditions, UV testing provides valuable insight into long-term product durability in a fraction of the time required for natural outdoor exposure. The resulting data helps manufacturers make informed decisions regarding material selection, protective coatings, product design, and expected service life.
